3144661 - Error: Determination of source inventory failed for product XYZ While Confirming Supply Task

When you try to confirm the Supply Task, the system throws errors:

-->Action failed
-----> Determination of source inventory failed for product XYZ ( i.e. XYZ is the Product ID)
----------> Inventory in logistics area not available

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Work Centre Production Control. 
2. View Task Control.
3. Search for task XXX (XXX represents the exact ID of the task). 
4. Click the button Confirm. 
5. Search for the product XYZ. 
6. The system does not propose any logistics area.
7. Select line item and choose Propose Quantity and Logistics Area
8. The system throws error messages.

Since the Target Logistics Area is the same as Source Logistics Area, the system will not propose the Source Logistics Area (as stock is already present in the Target location specified). Therefore when you are trying to propose via option "Propose Quantity and Logistics Area" the system throws errors.

1. Work Centre Production Control. 
2. View Task Control.
3. Search for the task XXX (XXX represents the exact ID of the task). 
4. Click the button Confirm. 
5. Search for the product XYZ. 
6. Go to Value Selection and select required LOA manually one by one for required product IDs.
7. Choose Save.
8. The system allows saving the task with the required LOA and Istock.
9. Note: Select the LOA with Istock manually via value selection, the system will allow you to confirm the task.
