3146974 - The Heat Map scale shows one value (colour) when single data point is plotted in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

The following behaviour occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

• The colour scale of an heat map shows one data point (colour) based on the values that are plotted in the Heat Map.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)  2021.20.22

1. Create heat map based on the story.
2. Select single value that is plotted in the Heat Map.
3. Observe that if the plotted values are same numbers, Heat Map scale will put this number in the middle of the scale.
4. Therefore the colour of the corresponding heat map will be based on the colour which is defined in the middle of the scale.

• The Heat Map legend/scale will always be computed strictly on the values that are plotted in the Heat Map.
• The reason for this that it is not possible to assume that (value)% is necessarily a fixed / highest number, as there could be values much higher than 100%, however, since the only data-point available is the single point so it's plotted in the middle of the scale.

This behaviour is by design.
