3147194 - How to check all Time Sheets assigned to one employee in a CSV file?

Symptom

To see all Time Sheets assigned to one employee, Time Sheet UI can be used.

However, you want to see all these Time Sheets in a CSV file.

Resolution

To be able to see all Time Sheets assigned to one employee in a CSV file, it is first necessary to know which is the employee User ID.

After that, you can proceed checking all the assigned Time Sheets for this employee.

       

1. Confirming Employee User ID.

     1.1 To confirm the employee User ID, please go to “Admin Center > Employee Export”, then click on “Specify Character Encodings, Locale, Date Format, and Batch Process Option > Export User File”:

         

           It will generate a CSV file with all the employees of the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central instance.

    

     1.2 Using Excel, for example, it can be formatted by selecting the first column and going to “Data > Text To Columns”, and then “Delimited > Comma”. Add the filter option in “Data > Filter” by selection the first line too.

           Using the search arrow, search for the employee you wish to see all the Time Sheets in a CSV file by its First Name and/or Last Name:

         

           As a result, you will be able to confirm the employee User ID, in this example, it is 103253.

   

2. Seeing all employees Time Sheet in a CSV file.

     2.1 Now that you are sure regarding the employee User ID, please go to “Import and Export Data > Export Data”.

           Select Employee Time Sheet Generic Object, and then External Code as Key Preference, and proceed exporting the file:

         

  

     2.2 Go to “Admin Center > Monitor Jobs”, and download the generated MDF Data Export file:

         

   

     2.3 Open the downloaded file, and search for the file “Employee Time Sheet.csv”; open it.

           Format the CSV file as mentioned in step 1.2 previous mentioned, and search for the User ID found in this same step:

           

           The result will be all Employee Time Sheet Objects assigned to this employee, including many details, such as startDate, endDate, approvalStatus, externalCode, and so on.

           By copping the externalCode and search for the Time Sheet in “Manage Data > Employee Time Sheet”, you will be able to see the Time Sheet directly in the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central instance too.
