3147699 - Payroll Control Center - How to Adopt the Default Logic Implementation for Existing Validation Rules And KPIs Type Configuration

Default logic implementation for Validation Rule Type and KPI Type are released with SAP Note 3133485. The logic classes are highly recommended to replace the classes in SAP HCM PYP Rapid-Deployment Solutions (RDS) with Information Note 3103134 (pilot released). The default logic class allows users to easily manage the dimensions and results parameters within a validation rule type or KPI type without the need of any additional coding.

For customer already deployed the RDS package, a how-to guide on adopting the default logic classes for existing validation rules and KPIs is needed.

SAP HCM: HR Renewal 2.0 (SAP_HR 608) Support Package Level 102 onwards. For Employee Central Payroll, same prerequisite applies to the ECP system.

Customer have already applied the RDS package in Information Note 3103134.

Note: Customer may also create validation rule / KPI types based using own implementations. The adoption only works with restrictions:

• Validation Rule: logic class inherits one of the following. No specific implementation to support additional dimensions with customer data provider classes.

  • CL_PYC_TSK_VR_1
• KPI: logic class inherits one of the following. No specific implementation to support additional dimensions with customer data provider.
  
  • CL_SBP_PYC_TSK_KPI_BASE
  • CL_PYC_TSK_KPI_1
  • CL_PYC_TSK_KPI_3

New implementation logic classes (CL_PYC_TSK_VR_DEFAULT and CL_PYC_TSK_KPI_DEFAULT) will be defaulted for all newly created Validation Rule types and KPI types with the enhancement.
