3148274 - Integration Center: Changes in HTTP timeouts (starting in 2H 2022 release)

Symptom

You wish to understand the upcoming changes in relation to HTTP timeouts in Integration Center

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Integration Center

Resolution

The HTTP timeout value for REST and SOAP based integrations will be reduced from 5 minutes to 3 minutes, effective from 2H 2022 release.

If a connection does not get established within 3 minutes, it will get timed out. A retry will be done for the HTTP status codes below:
429,
500,
503, and
504

If a request does not go through in the allocated 3 minutes timeframe and any of the above status codes is received, one retry will be performed which will also have a timeout limit of 3 minutes (in the past, two retries for the above status codes were done with a timeout of 5 minutes)

For SFTP based integrations, we are reducing the reconnect delay value from 30 seconds to 10 seconds. If the connection does not get established, 2 retries will be performed.
