3149006 - Error when renaming attachments in the Performance Form

Symptom

  • Error when renaming attachments in PM form: "There is an error while renaming the file".
  • The issue is only happening when a period is included in renaming the attachment uploaded in the PM form. 

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Rename any uploaded attachment in the PM form. 
  2. Include a period in the file name like for example - "1. Label.png".

Resolution

This is currently a system limitation. Currently, document names that contain periods are not supported in Performance forms unless they are part of the file name extension.

Ask the customer to submit an enhancement request with the actual business use case and expected results.
