3149957 - Error When Importing Software Collection

Symptom

You are receiving the error "Import validation failed. Please check the validation results" with the info "Collection YY1_ABC version 1 requires software version DEF.". (Where ABC represents the collection ID and DEF the release version)

Environment

SAP Marketing Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1.  Go to the Import Software Collection App.
  2.  Try to import the collection YY1_ABC version 1.
  3.  The error is raised.

Cause

To transport extension items, the system you are exporting from and the system you are importing to must be on the same cloud release.

For example, if your Quality system is on 2022 release and your Production system is on 2111 release, you won't be able to import the software collection.

Resolution

This is the expected system design.

You need to wait until both systems are in the same release version.
