Symptom

The SAP Cloud Connector (SCC) fails to start. Error message:

Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method java.io.File.equals(java.lang.Object) of a null object returned from java.io.File.getParentFile() #com.sap.scc.config#Thread-4#         
#getAuditLogPath failed - fallback to default path
