Symptom

  • Optional Tasks are displayed as overdue in the Onboarding Dashboard.
  • This applies to all optional tasks configured in the Onboarding Program.
  • Can we remove the overdue status?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Cause

  • Optional tasks in Onboarding apply the same due-date logic as mandatory tasks.
  • Once a task's due date passes it appears overdue regardless of whether it is optional.
  • This is expected system design. 

Resolution

  • Expected behavior — optional tasks follow same overdue logic as mandatory
  • No functional impact on process completion
  • Overdue status will not be reflected in 'Complete New Hire Tasks' Homepage tile
