3151443 - Can we have more than one person as Head of Unit?

• We want to have two Head of Unit in Business Unit. Is this possible?
• How to have more than one person as Head of Unit in Business Unit?

• headOfUnit is a standard field in Foundation Objects Business Unit and Department and similar field costCenterManager in Cost Center.
• Since these are user data type fields they can store only 'one person' or 'one data' per record.

• Standard delivered field headOfUnit can store only one user info per effective record.
• Workaround is to create a custom object and use it with Business Unit (or any other Foundation Object) as a one-to-many association.
• Example screenshots below:

1. Create Custom Object with effective dating 'From Parent', Secured under Miscellaneous Permission category, Re-label the fields, one can be a number field to order head of units, second a user data type field to store head of unit / person.
   
2.  Add this object as association under Business Unit (or desired Foundation Object), Label the association appropriately and then provide RBP permission for this new object.
   
3.  Hide standard headOfUnit field visibility and use the newly created association instead and create data using Manage Data.
