3151676 - SAP JAVA connection to ASE via SSL fails - SAP ASE for Business Suite

Symptom

  • SAP NetWeaver JAVA application is unable to connect to the SAP ASE database via SSL – the connection works fine without SSL.

  • 'startsap' via SSL fails like so:

    sidadm> cat /home/sidadm/JdbcCon.log
    Error: Couldn't connect to DB
    com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException: Exception of type java.sql.SQLException caught: JZ006: Caught IOException: java.io.IOException: JZ0T3 use getCause() to see the error chain.
  • isql connection into the database via SSL works fine

  • SAP Note 2593925- SYB: Enable SSL in SAP ASE with SAP Business Suite manually has been followed in order to enable SSL
