3151915 - Deadlocks between tables BALHDR and BALDAT with job SAP_COLLECTOR_PERFMON_SWNREORG

Symptom

  • There are deadlocks between tables BALHDR and BALDAT when job SAP_COLLECTOR_PERFMON_SWNREORG or SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR runs

  • SM21 system log has the entries:

                  Deadlock occurred
                  Database error <xxx> with UPD access to table BALHDR

  • DBACOCKPIT shows an alert for the deadlock

  • There may also be a short dump with the header:

                  Runtime Errors                DBSQL_SQL_DEADLOCK_DETECTED
                  Except.                            CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
                  ABAP Program                SAPLSBAL_DB_INTERNAL
                  Application Component   BC-SRV-BAL
