Symptom

  • Poor insertion speeds for text / image (BLOB) datatypes and 
  • Increasing logical IO observed with increasing table sizes
    • The amount logical IO grows disproportionately larger with bigger table sizes
  • For inserts without text / image field, the the logical IO is always the same
