3152845 - Application error when creating Table/Detailed report, on any domain, in SuccessFactors

Symptom

Creating a new Table/Detailed report or running any existing Table/Detailed reports gives application error, irrespective of the domain the report is built on.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
    • Analytics & Reporting (Ad Hoc, YouCalc, ORD)
      • Adhoc Reports & Report Builder 
      • Online Report Designer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login into instance
  2. Go to Reporting > New > Table report
  3. Select any domain and click OK
  4. We get below application error

hcm10preview.sapsf.com says

 
An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support (with the error information of errorlD=***********, timestamp=**************, and the version information from the current screen) if the issue keeps occurring.

Cause

MDF object definition is out of sync

Resolution

Since 2211 release, the MDF Object Definition DB is available from within the instance. Please see steps below:

  1. Open Admin Center -> Scheduled Job Manager
  2. Click the tab Job Scheduler
  3. Click Job Type -> MDF Object Definition to DB Sync
  4. You can then select Actions -> Run it Now
    *(you will need correct RBP permission, see below for the pre-requisite)

Above steps needs to be executed exclusively only when all the domains are affected.

If domains related to a particular module are displaying this error, then please raise a ticket with respective module Team.

RBP Pre-requisite

  • This action is supported in Scheduled Job Manager, for the selected job type.
  • You have the following permissions:
    • Admin Center Permissions  Monitor Scheduled Jobs
    • Admin Center Permissions  Manage Scheduled Jobs
