3153546 - Extra line breaks in Employee Referral Program Candidate referred to a job requisition email trigger

There is extra spacing/line breaks between lines in Employee Referral Program Candidate referred to a job requisition email trigger notification, even though the format of the email template in Admin Center>Manage Recruiting Email Templates is configured so that there should be no breaks i.e. SHIFT+ENTER was used to break the lines, as per KBA 3040949:

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental"

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Go to Careers
2. Search Jobs
3. On the Select Action Drop down menu of any job, click on Refer Friend to Job
4. Enter details of candidate to be referred and click Send
5. Referred candidate receives email with extra spacing:
   
6. However, if you tried to send an adhoc email to a candidate with the same email template, they receive the email without the spacing, as it is configured in Manage Recruiting Email Templates:

This is expected behaviour for this email triggered by the system, due to the formatting of this trigger.

To improve spacing in the email output, you can use SHIFT + ENTER when adding the line break between paragraph instead of just using ENTER when  setting the email template.
