3154544 - Data for future periods are not shown in Asset Balances App - S/4HANA Cloud

Symptom

In App Asset Balances the Planned Depreciation is not shown for future periods.

Environment

S/4HANA Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open App Asset Balances (F1617)
  2. Add filter criteria
  3. Add future year in field Fisc. Year of Ledger
  4. Press 'Go'
  5. Error is received: "Result set for query 2CCFASTBALANCE is empty"

Cause

The reason why you do not get any value for a future fiscal year is because no values exist in table FAAT_PLAN_VALUES for that year.

Resolution

In order to have values and therefore being able to check this year in this Fiori app, you would need to execute Balance Carryforward into mentioned Fiscal Year. Only place where you can see the future year's data is in App Manage Fixed Assets (F3425). However it is displayed only for one asset, it is not a report.
