SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Navigate to BizX
2. Proxy as BPE admin > Click on the Business Process Tile
3. View Document flow error
4. HCP Error Message: Http Status Code 500,
5. HCP Response Content: {"error":{"code":null,"message":"Illegal character in name: 'Preferred Name'."}}

There is a special character or a scape on the fields/placeholders in this example a space between "Preferred Name"

Or number like '2SLA' 

How to check if you form fields have special char

1. Note the form code in the error
2. Navigate to Maintain Onboarding and Offboarding Document Templates
3. Find the for and click on Open Mapping
4. In Manage Document Template Mapping 
5. Check all Placeholder fields to ensure there are no spaces there of special char and no number

How remove the special Char

1. You must edit the the original file or downloaded file on an appropriate editor e.g LiveCycle
2. Remove the special char 
3. Save and upload the new file
4. You can then navigate to BPE and restart the event
