3156932 - You Cannot Maintain Working Days and Holidays to Calendars in the Working Day Calendar Fine-Tuning Activity of Business Configuration

You are trying to edit working days and holidays to calendars in the business configuration fine-tuning activity 'Working day calendar' but you are not able to do so. You see the message 'SAP Delivered Calendar: Cannot be maintained' when opening the options 'Maintain an existing working day calendar' or 'Maintain an existing holiday calendar'.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Open the Business Configuration work center.
2. Open the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select a project and click in the 'Activity List' button.
4. Look for fine-tuning activity 'Working Day Calendar'.
5. Click in the 'Maintain an existing working day calendar' or 'Maintain an existing holiday calendar'.
6. Select a country ABC (where ABC is the country you want to edit the calendar).

Message 'SAP Delivered Calendar: Cannot be maintained' appears and you are not able to edit the working days/holidays. You might wonder why this happens even for the entry 'International with 5 working days (Mon-Fri).'

The message 'SAP Delivered Calendar: Cannot be maintained' is triggered because no user can change the calendars delivered as standard. The International calendar, which is not assigned to any country, is not meant to be used by customers. It's rather a technical calendar, which should not directly be used and it cannot be opened, because users can only open calendars which are assigned to a specific country.

This is the current system standard behavior. You can only edit calendars which you created instead.

If you notice a missing holiday in an standard calendar, please create a new incident to the component AP-GLO.
