3156942 - "RFC_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE- SSSLERR_PEER_CERT_UNTRUSTED" error occurs while connecting to IBP datastore via webRFC connection - SAP Cloud Integration for Data Services

Symptom

  • The following error occurs after pressing the 'Connection Test' button on IBP datastore with WebSocketRFC connection configured:

    Test failed for the default configuration '<datastore configuration name>' of datastore: '<datastore name>':
    Cannot connect to SAP Applications datastore <> using host <<IBP tenant URL>>, client <<client number>>, user <<user name>>, and system number <01: CRFC error: RFC_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE SSSLERR_PEER_CERT_UNTRUSTED : The peer's X.509 Certificate (chain) is untrusted. Could not start TLS Session[SAP Partner)>. Please make sure the SAP server is running and the login information is correct.

  • Setting the "TLS Trust All" option to "Yes" in the datastore configuration makes the datastore connection successful.
