3157022 - Inline Editing and Editing in Dataset not Working for Specific Work Center View

You have enabled the company settings Inline Editing and Editing in Dataset. However you notice that this options are missing from some specific work center view.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to Sales work center.
2. Go to Opportunities View.
3. You cannot find the option to edit the objects and field values (pencil icon).

*This is just an example and could happen in other work centers.

There are two settings to be enabled to get this functionality:

• Company settings must be enabled for both items. 
• Enable Editing in Dataset must be enabled in Adaptation. 

First, double check the company settings:

1. Click at User Menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Go to Company Settings.
4. Locate and enable the options Enable Inline Editing in Browser and Enable Editing in Dataset.
5. Save.

Now, go to desired work center:

1. Go to Sales Work Center.
2. Go to Opportunities View.
3. Start Adaptation.
4. You will notice an option at the top left side Enable Editing in Dataset.
   
   
   
   
5. Enable this option.
6. End Adaptation.
