3157033 - Error 1295 during DUMP TRANSACTION - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A 1295 error, "Unconditional lock request for table or page <page-number>, dbid <database-id> was made while holding a latch.", in the module 'lock__semawait'
  • A stack trace which includes the module 'dmpx_truncatemain' and 'dmpld_acquire_dumpdb_lock'
  • During DUMP TRANSACTION when an earlier attempt failed with a 1204 error, "ASE has run out of LOCKS. Re-run your command when there are fewer active users, or contact a user with System Administrator (SA) role to reconfigure ASE with more LOCKS."
