3157386 - WIP Clearing Error Message: 'Account determination missing for item type Work in Process'

You have executed a WIP Clearing, which raised a missing account determination error for some production lots.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Inventory Valuation work center.
2. Go to WIP Clearing view.
3. Find and open the respective run.
4. Go to the Processed With Errors tab. 

See the error for a given production lot: 'Account determination missing for item type Work in Process'.

The account determination group maintained in the material's master data is missing in the account determination.

You need to maintain the account determination as follows:

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
3. Open the activity list.
4. Open the Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination activity.
5. For the relevant account determination profile, go to the Inventories subledger.
6. Go to the Inventory tab.
7. Maintain the account determination group and G/L Account mapping for column Work In Progress.
8. Save your changes.

If the error is still being raised, please send the incident to support to check the change log of the material valuation data. It can happen that there was another account determination group maintained for the material upon production lot processing. Therefore, the system would need the account determination for the previous account determination group for posting. Such change log for material valuation data can be checked by following the steps below.

1. Go to Inventory Valuation work center.
2. Go to Materials view.
3. Select the Material in question.
4. Click on Maintain Valuation Data and select Product Specification Valuation.
5. Click on View Changes.
6. You can find the change log.
