3157708 - ASE was brought down normally - but restart is not working - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE will not reboot, but no error messages are seen in the ASE log.
    • No errors in the ASE log - just gets stuck trying to access SYSAM.
    • sysam -status comes back just fine.
  • The only message in the ASE log is that it is trying to access the SySAM:
    SySAM: Using licenses from: ....
  • and stalls there
