• What is the number of characters limit when translating text in SAP Analytics Cloud?
• Text truncated, when copying very long text of a Story in Translation, in SAP Analytics Cloud.

• SAP Analytics Cloud

1. In SAP Anayltics Cloud, create a Story.
2. Add a Text object, and type a very long text.
3. Enable the Story for Translation.
4. In the Translation dashboard, for the Text object with a very long text, copy a long translation of the text into another language.
5. Notice the long text is truncated.

• Text is truncated because Translation is limited to 4,000 characters in the dasboard.

• Load the translations for the Story using XLIFF file.
        
• Note: When loading translations to the Story using XLIFF file, and viewing the Story, it will show the full translated string of more than 4,000 characters, but note that in the Translation dasboard, it will still show the first 4,000 characters only. The full translation is still stored for the Story, it is just the Translation dasboard that is limited to show up to 4,000 characters.
