3157999 - Version column added to table in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and cannot be removed

When creating a story directly off of an imported file, either xlsx or csv, that contains a column called version, the version column gets added to tables and cannot be removed.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2022.2.7

1. Create a new blank story.
2. Click the data button.
3. Select "Data uploaded from a file" button.
4. Select a file that has a column named Version.
5. Add a table to the story.
6. Add a measure and dimension to the table.
7. Add a calculated column to the table.
8. The Version dimension now will be added to the table.

Version is a built-in dimension in SAC that defines data versions for Planning models. When creating a story by just adding the data a background model is generated. When SAC sees the Version dimension it treats it as a planning model.

This is expected behaviour for Planning models. There are two solutions to this:

1. Create a regular model, not Planning, and import the data to the model. This makes sure the model is not defined as a Planning model.
2. Rename the Version column to something different.
