3158310 - "Date hierarchy level is unknown: undefined" when adding Filter by Range for a Time Dimension in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Not possible to add Filter by Range on the Time Dimension in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• When trying to create a Widget Filter selecting Filter by Range on the Time Dimension, the settings window will keep loading.
• Live connection to SAP Datasphere (DS).
• Error in browser Developer tools:

"Date hierarchy level is unknown: undefined

Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot set properties of undefined (setting 'entityId')"

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)
• SAP Datasphere (DS)

1. Login to SAC and DS.
2. Create a Story based on Data Model with Live connection to DS.
3. Insert a Chart and add a Measure and Time Dimension.
4. Try to create a Widget Filter on the Time Dimension: Dimensions - [Time Dimension name] - Filter - Filter by Range => the function will keep loading.

Time dimension hierarchy that is modelled is not named correctly on the Day level in DS.

• Configure the DS Time Dimension with the required prefix in the technical name, so that it is compatible with SAC.
• Follow help guide Acquiring, Preparing, and Modeling Data with SAP Datasphere, topic Create a Dimension:

"In addition, attributes in an analytical dataset that are mapped to a time dimension via an association must have technical names that respect the following naming conventions:

• *_DATE for Date/Day level"
