3158443 - Error 2824 with stacktrace including function proc__linktopss and n3_udf - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE errorlog reports error 2824
  • Followed by a stack trace including modules proc__linktopss, s_getTreeOrPlan and n3_udf
  • When a Java User Defined Function (UDF) is executed while the configuration option 'enable java' is disabled
  • The errorlog sequence includes

    Error: 2824, Severity: 19, State: 2
    Process YY cannot hold PROC_BUF 0x0x157e2fd50 named 'UDF_sample' because it holds another PROC_BUF 0x0x157e2fbf0 named 'UDF_sample'. A process can only hold one view, rule, or default at a time.
  • With a stack trace including modules

    proc_get
    s_getTreeOrPlan
    n3_res_ud
    n3_udf
    norm3_expr
