3158691 - Posting to asset classes for intangible assets - S/4HANA Cloud

When posting to asset classes for intangible assets an error is received:

"Account & could not be found for area &

Message no. AU133

Diagnosis

The system could not find account & for company code & in depreciation area & when creating the journal entry.

Procedure

1. Check whether a G/L account is defined in the account determination of Asset Accounting (in the configuration of Asset Accounting in the configuration activity Assign G/L Accounts).
2. Check whether the defined G/L account is created in your company code.
3. Define a G/L account or create the G/L account in your company code.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Select the App Schedule Project Accounting Jobs (F1914) to post to intangible assets under construction.
2. Enter the values to be posted.
3. Posting/simulate results in error.

The new asset classes for intangible assets and the account determination was delivered in release CE 2102

For new installation with release SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2102 or later SAP delivers the new asset classes, the account determination and assigned G/L accounts.

For any installations before release SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2102 SAP only delivers the new asset classes and account determination, but not assigned G/L accounts.

The reason is that SAP does not know which G/L accounts a customer is using, has changed, or of they created new ones or deleted them.

SAP cannot deliver those changes during an upgrade.

Existing customer has to maintain the G/L accounts manually via SSCUI 102622.

Effects on Configuration

You need to assign your own G/L accounts to the new account determination using the configuration step (SSCUI) Assign GL Accounts (102622). You may not need to define a new set of G/L accounts to cover analytical requirements as the asset class is available in the journal entry line item so you can therefore directly identify tangible and intangible assets on the basis of their assignment to the asset class in the journal entry.
