When upgrading a locally defined shape or item to a dictionary item, it tries to scrap it if there's already a definition for that to replace it, instead of creating a new one. This fails in cases where networks are unreliable and thus the implementation doesn't close messages boxes correctly. Everything should have been closed properly.
