3160229 - Smart Search can't use attribute "linked by"

Why can't I use the attribute "linked by" in the smart search? I have set up a column in the explorer which shows me the content of the attribute "linked by". I want to look for special content within this attribute.

The attribute " linked by" is a computed attribute, which is harder to include into the search or reports. The product management is informed about that inquiry to include this attribute in searching and reporting functionalities.
