3160360 - I receive warnings from modeling conventions check

Symptom

I receive warnings from modeling conventions check, but I can not find in the guide how to do this without there still being warnings for edge overlays. The warning says ‘Edge overlays another edge’ and also ‘named using wrong style.’ Please can you send me an example of how this should be done?

Resolution

The hints and warnings come from the modeling conventions check when you save a diagram. The best practices checker proves if every element is named in correct style. In this case you should name the gateway as a question and every sequence flow as an answer to it.

‘Edge overlays another edge’ means your sequence flows are covered by the other one. In this case it is impossible to do it better, so just ignore the warning. This would be important if you had dragged two sequence flows combining the same objects.

You can disable this check and also adjust your own criteria. This configuration is well described in our manual
