3160576 - Custom attributes not included in the process characteristics report

I need to remove a custom attribute and want to make sure that it is not being used on any processes. For this purpose I pulled a characteristics report but its columns do not contain the attribute. Why is the attribute is not included on the report?

The attribute is not included on the report since it is not defined on any processes covered by the report.

A simple way to verify this is to enter a value for the attribute on a specific process and run your report again. This time the attribute should be added to the report with its own column header listing the value below.

If still in doubt and you have API access there is also the option to use the API call 'GET /p/meta' to list the attributes and their values.
