Symptom


Attached pdf is not visible in Collaboration Hub



Resolution


There are four options why the attached pdf-document is not visible in the Collaboration Hub.

  1. Please check if you have created two subfolders like "Diagrams" and "Documents" under the "Shared documents" folder. If you only publish the diagram, which includes the dictionary entry with the attached pdf, and the pdf in the folder "Documents" wasn't published, then the diagram can be opened in the Hub but the pdf will be not visible. Every document which belongs to a diagram have to be published to be visible.

  2. The second option is that the latest revision or the first revision which includes the document wasn't published. If a document was published there will be a blue dot on the down left corner of the document icon.

  3. The third option are the rights of the Hub users which are limited or can be limited by an admin user. Please also notice that there are differences between a Hub user with a license (who is a modeler at the same time) and a (invited by e-mail link or access by certificate) Hub user without access or limited access to the Editor. Depending on assigned access rights the Hub user can't see all published diagrams.

  4. The last option is the visibility of dictionary entries and their attached documents. In the "Setup" /"Edit Collaboration Hub configuration" it is possible to set the option that the attribute is visible or not.
