3160723 - Using SAML authentication for Signavio with my Sharepoint installation, is this possible?

Symptom

The authentication to the Signavio Process Manager workspace is managed via SAML 2.0. We are also using Sharepoint. How can I give access to the Signavio Workspace within Sharepoint or can I have both authentication mode activated in the workspace?

Resolution

It´s not possible to use Sharepoint AND SAML as an authentication method at the same time. You can only use SAML or Sharepoint. If you switch to the Sharepoint app, that would mean a completely new setup within the workspace and on the Sharepoint-side.

We would recommend staying with the SAML authentication and embed the Hub as an iframe within your Sharepoint. You only need to create a new Sharepoint webpage and use the "Embed code"-function. In this snippet, you only need to paste the SAML-link* and publish the webpage. Afterward, you should be able to see the entry page of the Signavio Hub.

Of course, there could be the problem that the settings in your Sharepoint workspace aren't allowed to use the embed function for the Signavio webpage. Please, allow iframes from the Signavio page** in the "HTML Field Security". (see the following page:

*: Please choose the appropriate infrastructure for your link: (Your tenant-ID is available in the menu "Help" → "Workspace information")

The link only works if you have activated the Collaboration Hub Homepage. Otherwise, there will be a blank page

**: Please choose your appropriate infrastructure.
