3160997 - Import of an BPMN XML file is not possible or succeds with errors.

Symptom

When I import a BPMN XML file it fails or succeeds with errors. For example:

Discarded element due to invalid reference from DI to Semantics part in BPMN 2.0 XML: Node (null)

Environment

SAP Signavio Process Manager 3.0

Reproducing the Issue

Open Explorer
Click Import/Export
Select 'Import bpmn xml file' option
Select a file.
Press Import
See error message.

Cause

The file you are trying to import does not fully comply with the BPMN Standard.

Resolution

Our XML import requires a valid BPMN 2.0 format, which is a standardized format. The supplied XML file does not correspond to the BPMN 2.0 format and can only be processed within the framework of the software you use. We lack the BPMN 2.0 definitions, therefore the file cannot be imported.
