3161280 - How to append the username in SAP SIgnavio Process Manager User Management

Symptom

How to append some information for existing users such as Company, first name and username/email in SAP Signavio Process Manager, User Management.

Resolution

  • Company name:
    • Each user has to do it manually in his/her profile.
    • If you could give us some more information about the use case, we will capture it as an improvement suggestion in our product board.
  • First and last name:
    • Each user has to do it manually in his/her profile.
    • If SAML/SSO and Just-in-Time provisioning is enabled, a user that logs in who already has a Signavio account and an IdP name ID, any IdP change on their first name and last name will be automatically updated in the Signavio user management. See user guide: Just-in-Time Provisioning
    • If Just-in-Time provisioning is disabled, another option would be updating the user details using API. See user guide: User management
  • Username/Email:
    • Recommend: If SAML SSO is turned on and Just-in-Time provisioning is enabled, the username/email is updated with the information from the identity provider (e.g. Active Directory, Azure) whenever a user logs in through SSO and as long as you are sending the user information (first_name, last_name). Although this is not in bulk, it will update one by one as each user logins.
    • You can also update this in bulk via the API.
