Symptom
We need to append some information for existing users, such as team name (in company field) and user name in Process Manager User Management.
Resolution
- Company name:
- Currently, there is no way to update this in bulk.
- Each user has to do it manually in his/her profile.
- If you could give us some more information about the use case, we will capture it as an improvement suggestion in our product board.
- Username:
- Recommend: if SAML SSO is turned on the username is updated with information from the identity provider (e.g. Active Directory, Azure) whenever a user logs in through SSO. As long as you are sending the user information (first_name, last_name). Although, this is not in bulk, it will update one by one as each user logins.
- You can also update this in bulk via the API, which you require a license for.
- We might be able to upload a one-time CSV upload to update usernames, but the SAML/SSO logins will overwrite at each login.
- NOTE on Signavio Workflow Accelerator (SWA), to update the first/last names, you need to have 'central user management' enabled by Signavio Support first, otherwise the information will not be pushed to SWA on login.
