3161328 - Dictionary entries with special characters are not properly found in the auto completion search

We have a dictionary entry, e.g. named ".xlsx file", which cannot be found when I search for it. Can you please check if the special character "." is hindering here?

We can confirm that the search with special characters may be buggy. This is an issue which has already been forwarded to our developers to get this fixed. If you are affected by this issue and want to be kept up to date about this issue, please create a ticket in our Support Portal and reference the ticket number SPM-9643.

As workaround, we recommend avoiding special characters in dictionary entries. Another workaround when searching is to ignore the special character within the search term.

For example, when searching for ".xlsx file", please only type "xlsx" as search term (without leading ".").
