3161595 - Can I add an external website link to the body of a diagram which can be accessed by non-Signavio users when the diagram is exported as a PDF?

Symptom

Can I add an external website link to the body of a diagram which can be accessed by non-Signavio users when the diagram is exported as a PDF?

Environment

SAP Signavio Process Manager 3.0

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Explorer.
  2. Select a process.
  3. Open it in Editor.
  4. Double click a task element.
  5. Add a link to an external website.
  6. Print to a PDF.

Resolution

If you would like a non-signavio user to be able to access an external http link from a PDF created in Signavio you can do so by adding the link to an (Document/URL) attribute as shown in the screenshot below. Once the diagram is exported via Editor → Reporting → Process documentation (PDF), the non-signavio user will then be able to access the link by navigating to the task level information in the PDF. Please see the screenshot below for more information.
