3163551 - Time Off and Time Sheet Permissions not Respected in the Latest Home Page

Symptom

Time Off and Time Sheet quick action cards "Request Time Off" and "Record Time" appear in the new home page of an employee, even if the employee (self) is not part of the target population of the role that provides Employee Views -> Time Off permission and employee view -> Time Sheet permission.

Reproducing the Issue

Remove Employee View -> Time Off permission from employee self service role for an employee
Employee gets this permission from Manage Self Service role (target population excludes self)
The Time off quick card appears in the home page of the employee

Cause

This is currently working as designed. There is a known limitation in the new home page, that permissions are not evaluated dynamically at run time, causing the tile to appear for the employee. i.e. target population is not being considered.

Resolution

Currently, if the tiles should not appear for an employee, then the Employee View -> Time Off and Time sheet permissions should not be present in any permission role associated with the employee
An open enhancement "MDF-48463" exists, to check target population in the latest home page for time off and time sheet tiles. However, no date has been confirmed as of yet. This KBA will be updated once this is confirmed.
