3163604 - Job requisition text fields do not hold formatting or are empty - Recruiting Posting

• When I try to post the job requisition, the mapping extraction rule works. However, the formatting of the sentence used in the extraction rule looses the format such as (bold and size text for example).
• I've configured the mapping extraction rule in Field Completion, but fields appear empty when posting the job.

When you go to Admin Center -->Manage Recruiting Posting--> select your template in Field Completion Rules and open a text field.

The "keyword content" added in the extract field will strip the formatting. Due to that, the formatting of the sentence used in the extraction rule loses the format. If the extract keyword contains some special character, or if the additional language versions are not added, the field may be empty.

The "extract rule" field doesn't support formatting or contains special characters or does not match (including capital and lowercase letters). Also, different language versions are not configured.

There is a solution to keep the formatting of your "keyword content". You need to add the "HTML tags" directly inside the extract rule field.

Here is an example of how it could look like :

We don't need to close the HTML tags, only to put the HTML tags in front 'Keyword content' of your text field.

In order to retrieve the HTML tags of your keyword content, you have to go to "External Posting Preview" of one your job and access the source code (inspect the page) of your keyword content.

If after configuring the extract the field is empty, make sure that special characters such as dots, colon, etc. are removed. Actually, these are transmitted differently via the API and the extract keyword is not recognized. Also, make sure that the spelling matches (including capital and lowercase letters).

Also, if you post jobs in several languages, make sure the the extracts are defined for each of them.
