3163904 - The Characters in the Template of Bank Directory Can Not be Recognized in the System

You upload the bank directory via the template provided by SAP, but after the file uploaded successfully, you check the bank directory in the system, the bank name and street are showing ?????? or incorrect characters.

This problem occurs when your upload file contains non-English characters. For example, the bank name and street are all in Simplified Chinese.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Liquidity Management Work Center.
2. Go to Bank Directory View.
3. Click New Bank Directory upload.
4. In Step1, select format SAP template and add file ABC.csv(ABC is the ID of the csv file).
5. Click next to last step and the file uploaded successfully.
6. Go to Bank Directory View.
7. Search Bank ID XYZ(XYZ is the ID of the bank you just uploaded).
8. You can see the bank directory is created, but the bank name is ?????? and the street is also ??????(or incorrect characters).

The SAP Template format for bank directory only supports windows-1251 encoding.  This is used for English and Cyrillic character sets and not Chinese character sets.

You can upload them to the system, then correct the incorrect characters manually;

You can manually create Bank Directories.
