3164738 - Transaction FAA_CMP: Error FAA_CMP056 - "Closed Fiscal Year is Initial" for newly created depreciation area

Symptom

  • In FAA_CMP try to 'Close' or 'Reopen' LDT Segment but error FAA_CMP056 is raised: "Ledger &1, depreciation area &2: Closed fiscal year is initial"
  • For an additional (i.e. cost accounting) newly created depreciation area the closed fiscal year field is blank (initial). 
  • When trying to create an additional Legacy Data Transfer segment to fix this, the closed fiscal year remains initial for the new depr. area. 
  • Error AY159 occurs in transaction AS03
