3166833 - MDG-M: Clarification regarding the behavior of Mark for Deletion indicator of material

Symptom

You are expecting to use MAT06 change request type to create change request for material changing the deletion flag. The material has multiple plants assigned for example and you detected the following behavior:

  • When you get into the initial OVP and switch to Edit mode, the plant level mark for delete is enabled for edit.
  • When you set the Mark for Delete flag at the Basic data level of Material, the Mark for Delete flag at each plant level will also be set after a roundtrip.
  • When you set the Mark for Delete flag at the Basic data level of Material to uncheck, the Mark for delete flag at each plant level will be unchecked but it becomes read only.
