3169987 - Not able to create Groups in SAP Jam using certain Templates

• Unable to create group using certain group templates in SAP Jam.
• Create Group option not shown for some group templates.
• Some groups templates not available in Create Group popup.

SAP Jam Collaboration

• Login into SAP Jam-> Create a Group - > From the group template dropdown try to select a specific template - > Template not shown in the list
• Login into SAP Jam admin console -> Navigate to Product Setup - Group Templates -> Find the desired template and click Actions -> Create a Group option is missing

This is expected if the template in concern has some business record (like, 'Items' for Learning) selected for it.

If the template in concern has some business record (like, 'Items' for Learning) selected for it, that would mean group creation via that template is only possible from such a business record(item), and not directly

The business record selection for the template needs to be changed to “none” so that groups can be directly created using it. Like in the example below-
