3171265 - TDT activation status for Country/Region &1 is different in production in 3-System Landscape

The error message TDT activation status for Country/Region &1 is different in production is displayed.

There can be two scenarios in which this error can occur:

1. The error is displayed if the sap standard content was not yet transported to the test or production;
2. The TDT (Time-Dependent Taxes) Migration for the country was carried out in the development system but not yet in the Test and or Production system.

It is necessary ensure a consistent set up of the systems before changes are allowed.

Scenario 1:  The error is displayed if the SAP Standard/Reference/Initial Content was not yet transported to the test or production. 
Usually this scenario occurs if a new country have been scoped, but not yet transported content to test and production 

Error Message FOT_TDT120: TDT activation status for Country/Region &1 is different in production 

In configuration activity "Message Control in Tax Area" ID 103887, change the message type for application area "FOT_TDT" and MsgNo. "120" Message short Text: TDT activation status for Country/Region &1 is different in production to warning (Online: W and BatchI: W).

Note with this step the message type will be changed for all users and countries. 

Error Message: FOT_ATR018 TDT activation for Country/Region &1 is different in production cannot be deactivated 

For changes in configuration activities; 

• Maintain Tax Box Mapping for Advanced Tax Return 
• Define Enhanced Tax Box Structure

Importing SAP Standard/Reference/Initial Content to your production system is necessary. 

Scenario 2:  The TDT (Time-Dependent Taxes) Migration for the country was carried out in the development system but not yet in the Test and or Production system

In app Display Tax Information per Country it is possible to check the TDT activation status on each system Development, Test, Production.

It is possible for this scenario to deactivate error message FOT_TDT120: TDT activation status for Country/Region &1 is different in production 

Although, the transport must not be released before the TDT (Time-Dependent Taxes) Migration is completed in the test and production system. 

Recommendation: Activate TDT in all systems before you engage in fine tuning taxes
