3171670 - Why are my documents failing with the error "Cannot find the referenced PO XXXXXX", or are not failing but also not linking to the Purchase Order?

Symptom

When sending a document via the Commerce eXtensible Markup Language (cXML) method to SAP Business Network:

  • I encounter the following error message: Cannot find the referenced PO xxxxxxxx.
  • No error message is generated, but the document is simply not linked to the Purchase Order.
