3173391 - How can I add validation on the US state codes in the ad-hoc address?

Is there a way to limit the amount of characters that can be input on the State/Province/Region field when creating an ad hoc ShipTo address?

We need to limit the field to 2 characters, so users can only input the state abbreviation (for example, NJ for New Jersey) instead of writing out the entire state name (New Jersey).

This validation should be applied only on addresses in the United States (US).
