SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

3176970 - Error: Taxes, discounts, and charges for the child lines of a service item cannot be edited.

Symptom

When I try to add taxes to a child service item on a Purchase Requisition (PR) by clicking Actions > Edit Taxes, I see the following error message:

Taxes, discounts, and charges for the child lines of a service item cannot be edited.

I want taxes on the child item so that it gets copied to the Purchase Order (PO) flip invoice.
