3189199 - Custom Sort Orders get cleared while editing them in tables in SAP Analytics Cloud(SAC)

Symptom

  • If there are custom sorts applying on two tables, these sorts might be removed when doing some changes on the custom sorts on either table.
  • Please refer the Reproducing steps below about the specific scenarios.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2022.2.12

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create Table 1 and Table 2 in a story using the same model.
  2. Create a custom sort for an account in Table 1.
  3. Create a custom sort for a dimension in Table 2
  4. Edit the custom sort order in one table.
    1. The custom sort will be removed from the other table automatically.
  5. Add the account custom sort order to Table 2.
  6. Uncheck the dimension custom sort order in Table 2.
    1. Both account and dimension custom sort orders are removed from Table 2.

Cause

The issue is caused by a defect in the product.

Resolution

  • The issue is fixed in a future** version of SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Please refer to maintenance document.

    ** in version 2022.08. for customers on a bi-weekly (fast track) release cycle.
    ** in 2022 Q2 for customers on a Quarterly release cycle (QRC).
