Q1: A rule is not working when Crossboarding was initiated from RCM.
A1: Not all types of rules are supported in Crossboarding initiated from RCM.

Q2: The crossboarding candidates are not available in Dashboard for the new manager.

 

Q3: The crossboarding is initiated through Recruiting or External Applicant Tracking System, but in Manage Data: Process, it is marked as from Employee Central.

A3: Employee Central gives you a provision to add a custom field for jobInfo and set the label to Source System for Onboarding. Whenever the internal hire process is initiated from Recruiting, Applicant Tracking System, and Employee Central, the triggerType automatically displays the application from where the process was triggered.

If you don't configure the custom string field, then by default the triggerType is displayed as "Internal Hire Initiated from Employee Central" for Recruiting and Applicant Tracking System.

 

Q4: How to know if the transfer event rule and initiate internal hire rule is triggered or not?

 

A4: Please go to Intelligent Services Center.

If transfer event rule is triggered, you will find an event of "Employee Central: Job Transfer" at the time Job Information changed.

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

If initiate internal hire rule is triggered, you will find an event of "Onboarding: Crossboarding Initiated" at the same time.

 

 

 

 

  

 

Q5: Initiated an internal hire from RCM but the candidate can be found nowhere.

1. Check "Business Process" tile and see if the candidate can be found there.

2. If not, please go to "BPE: Monitor Process"

3. Find the records based on Start Time, which should be when the internal hire is initiated from RCM

 

Normally, it should be at least 3 records.

The first "Onboarding2RCMUpdateEventsWorkflow" is finished because once the internal hire got initiated, the candidate would be moved to Hired status. (If the crossboarding is initiated from EC, there will not be the finished one and only 2 records.)

 

 

 

4. Check the records one by one by clicking on it. You will find exception or error.

5. If there is no more information to tell what's wrong, please raise a support ticket.

 

Q6: For Internal Hire via ATS, transfer events configured as post save rules get skipped and as a result events would also not be triggered.

1. Go to Manage Permission Role 
2. Identify the role assigned to the user responsible to initiate Internal Hire
3. Click on Permissions, Navigate to "Employee Central Import Settings" > "Enable business rules for selected entities (All) or choose the Job Information Entity."
   
   

Q7: Personal Information is not being updated during the Internal Hire process.
A7: The system only updates employment-related entities during Internal Hire and Personal Information is not included in that scope.  Please find the supporting documentation for Crossboarding:
